ynonyms for valiant include heroic, audacious and strong-willed, words that resonate perfectly throughout the olfactive canon of Boadicea the Victorious. Valiant is a luscious floral composition, weighted elegantly toward citrus drenched flowers. Created as part of the Chinese Zodiac collection, and representing The Year of the Horse, Valiant joins, Hasu, Hanuman and Dragon in their bold interpretations of the Chinese zodiac menagerie. The Year of The Horse is the 7th in the twelve-year cycle of the Chinese animal calendar. Horse folks are considered agile, bold and good humoured, liked by those around them.

The flowers at the heart of Valiant suggest sultry vacations, walking in the cool shade of burgeoning trees, fruit warm and ripening, sun flickering through leaves. Joyful orange blossom, mandarin, orange, grapefruit and neroli are poured over jasmine, cherry blossom and ylang-ylang, that has hints of monoi and green banana. A vanilla-rich base is flavoured with amber, sandalwood, tonka and a cocoa kissed patchouli.

The horse is also a reference to the free-spirited steeds leading Boadicea into battle, pulling chariots and carrying her people raging against Roman rule. These horses suggest leather, sun glinting off shields, horsehair, warm skin, pounding hearts and churned grass under hoof.

As Valiant settles on skin, there is an intriguing suggestion of old school pomanders, studded with Christmas spices, rolled in orris powder to preserve them. Orris has been used in Valiant to suggest bruised metal and mauve light on the edges of the perfumed experience. Osswald NYC uses both USPS and UPS for shipping. Ground shipping for all CONUS orders under $100 will be auto calculated by weight and carrier for best rate, and free for all CONUS orders over $100; ground shipping will be via USPS. Two-day shipping for CONUS orders is $25, and next-day shipping is $40; express shipping will be via UPS. Orders are fulfilled Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Return Policy

Returns and exchanges are accepted within 10 days of purchase date, although we reserve the right to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. To be eligible for a return, the merchandise must be unopened, unused and in the same condition that you received it (unbroken cellophane wrapping) and accompanied by the original Osswald sales receipt. Furthermore OSSWALDNYC.COM cannot be held responsible for any claims after 10 days of purchase. Returns:
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and e-mail a digital store credit or refund based on your preference. 

You will be responsible for paying for shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping label will be deducted from your refund.

Please pack/return the item carefully so it is not damaged upon its return.

Exchanges:
We replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@osswaldnyc.com and we will send you a complimentary shipping label. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

Cancellation:
All orders are automatically processed on our secure merchant processor and sent for shipment as soon as they are placed. During this process we incur irreversible fees. Therefore, while we understand that orders might need to be changed sometimes, we are unable to do it free of charge after a certain point. We strictly adhere to the following cancellation policy:

If you cancel your order BEFORE it has been shipped, you will be assessed a 5% cancellation fee before credit is issued.

If you cancel your order AFTER it has been shipped, please follow our Return Policies & Procedures. The cancellation will have to be treated as a Return with all applicable fees.
